Just received this short mini-review from D.
The Gen SUL has been a dream. I really like the UL of the three the most and the SUL right behind it. I have flown it a few times and it has saved the flying day every time. I tried it stock and then moved the weight to the tail, didn't like it and now going back to the nose. I like the weight on the tail on the STD and UL but not the SUL. The zip ties that held the weight sucked, I replace it with black electrical tape and it seems to work great. It was what I was looking for in a SUL, a kite that would fly in light winds and still be tricky enough to keep me entertained. As far as comparing it to other SUL's, I don't have enough experience to do that as my only SUL's were a Nik-Nak (nicer flier, well made, wouldn't trick for me) and a Baby-tana (a toy). My tricks are not the best and not very predictable just yet but I can make the Gen SUL do pretty much what I want it to and I think that says a lot if a novice such as myself can get this level of performance out of it.
Feel free to use this mini-review as you need and if you need any of the pics on my webshots page, let me know and I will e-mail them to you. Thank you D, for offering to share! Theresa |
