The lower outhaul on my bridle on both sides is wearing through the sleaving where it rests on the leading edge in a fade. I have been working on fade based tricks a lot and have done very little on wrap up tricks. Is this to be expected? When is it time to change the bridle and is there anything that can be done to extend the life of the bridle?

Very expected.
And yes there is. Just sleeve your bridle line at the points of wear then very gently melt the sleeving onto the line. You'll have double sleeved spectra now at critical points
You can also put any sort of smootht tape on portions of the kite where the bridle will touch the kite. Generally leading edge between yo-yo stopper and upper spreader connector, and between the standoffs or outside the only standoff on your kite. |
