Laser Pro is alive and well and still the best there is IMO!
Any rumors that they are no longer supplying line is bull. Laser Pro is dedicated to being there for TKS and has stepped up to supply iQuad with all our line needs! Thank you Konrad and the Laser Pro team! We are proud to fly your banner! I have in stock...all weights of LPG fly line, and both weights of bridle line; 100# and 170# in black, red, gray, and hi vis yellow. Theresa |

and just to add...
Last I spoke with Konrad, he mentioned that the kite line business was down a bit, but also said they're not steppin out of the business. LPG is the best... by far!

Didn't they quit making pre-made line sets or something, leading to the rumours that they were getting out of it all together?
And didn't Innovative Textiles web site disapear, fueling the rumour? And wasn't this all about a year ago? |

And yep...the site was down for a while, but back now: http://www.innotex.com/ See you and Mary on Friday! Brrrrrrrrr.....I'll be happy to wear my jacket again!

D'oh!
Just realized, all of iQuad has been been freezing while we've had their jackets. Yours is Done (and looks pretty sharp I must say!) and several others as well. All should be done by Windless. (As long as the power stays on for a couple more days.) 100+ hours on the machine, 7,000 meters of thread, and over 2 million stitches later.
Back on topic: It always amazes me how the rumour mill works. Rumours flair up, die down, then flair up again. |

Off topic's fine, Don. I'm always OT!
Wow! that's a lot of stitches! Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooo much! I can't wait to see them! We should tell everybody here, that you do an awesome job at custom embroidery! I'll post a picture after I get home
Snow falling here now....
OT again...do you take the exit at Olympia, then Hwy 12, then south to 101 to LB? From the south, I just go to Longview, then over from there. I'm never sure which is best from the north? T |

We have to get you and the rest of iQuad to pose for some pictures!
We've started working on a website (hosted by Kitelife), and we could use more samples! www.osteydesign.com Not sure which way we'll drive to LB this time. We normally go I-5, 12, 101 - it's shorter. This time, we might go by way of Longview. Hope the weather doesn't scare away the gang! |

Theresa,
If you haven't already used them, Innovative Textiles makes the coolest sleeving kits! You don't need to use a sleeving wire with them. They're called "Quick Sleeves", and they have a plastic mesh core inside the sleeve. What you do is pull the mesh out from one end of the sleeve about an inch, spread the mesh apart, slide the flying line thru one of the holes in the mesh, then grab the mesh from the other end of the sleeve and pull it all the way out, and voila the line has been pulled thru the sleeve. Once I measure how long I want my lines to be, I can make a set of lines in 10 minutes, or less if I really hurry. Another good option for sleeving kits is New Tech Kites. NTK makeS and sells a sleeving kite that already has a sleeving wire in the kit. |

Thanks Troy
Yes, I've used that in years past. But I never like the sleeving material that comes with them. Over time, with lots of flying, they seem to 'bunch' up on the loop, and the loop seems to shrink up too. Know what I'm talking about? So I end up making my own. Thanks again! T |

I've seen plastic coated metal springs from my local fishing store. I bought a bag although I still haven't tried them out. 6 springs cost less than a $ and comes in different sizes. Maybe it would work on the handle end of the line where weight isn't an issue.

I use a xpoint needle - wife had a card of them. The eye is large enough and the way it is shaped it just grabs line in the eye. I just feed it through - it's a lot slower than doing it in one shot but it works.
I was wondering about equalizing length so in case it's of interest i got a few 1" nylon washers and a couple of nylon spacers from Lowes. I screwed them into the floor joists in the basement 20' apart and I just run line up and down. It works and it isn't cold. Cheers John |
