love flying kites, started in 1985 when i lived on wrightsville beach, nc. back in those days i flew a stack of dyna kites. there wasn't many of us in those days. i saw the possibilities of kite competitions back them. i got back into flying as a way to get my grandson involved in a sport. he went through chemotherapy at age 4 and can not play contact sports. we love to fly on any occasion we can. he flys a small DC-60 but desperatly wants to fly my HQ Yukon. the pull on that kite would carry him away!!! someday Xan!! i fly 5 to 6 times a week, when the wind permits. i am learning the tricks, so i can teach them to Xan when he gets a little bigger, but for now he likes to see "pappy" spin the kite!! he enjoys the cascades and the roll-up tricks. i have 6 HQ kites and just moved up to the Ferrari, r-sky nirvarna standard!!! love it!!! would trade all my HQ's for one more, UL r-sky!!! love the kite shoppe, they are great kite people, for kite people!!
